Dairy Farmers of Canada

DFC is a national non-profit organization run by and for Canadian dairy farmers. As stewards of a critical component of our food supply, dairy producers have an inherent interest in ensuring that Canadians appreciate the natural goodness, safety and high quality of Canadian milk.

DFC employs registered dietitians in Alberta to help Canadians maintain and adopt healthful eating and lifestyle practices. As registered dietitians we are credible, balanced and science-based. We belong to the College of Dietitians of Alberta and follow their Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics. Our job is to translate the complex science of nutrition into practical advice for the general population. It is our view that milk and milk products are an important part of a healthy, balanced diet based on the four food groups, which is supported by health organizations such as Health Canada and Dietitians of Canada.

Our Partners

Alberta Fitness Leadership Certification Association

The AFLCA was established in 1984 to provide training, evaluation and accreditation to exercise and fitness professionals in Alberta. AFLCA is Alberta’s longest-standing not-for-profit fitness certification organization. They provide a range of certifications from group exercise to one-on-one fitness training.

As the flagship organization of the National Fitness Leadership Alliance (NFLA), the AFLCA partners with sister organizations across Canada to ensure consistent standards and transferability across the country. The NFLA is the first North American physical activity accreditation organization to be accepted into the International Confederation of Registers for Exercise Professionals (ICREPs).
