Podcasts have exploded on the scene in the past few years. This past year, I started listening to them as a way to pass the time while cleaning my house. It didn’t take long before I was hooked! They’re free, frequently updated, informative and motivating. Now my playlist is full enough that I always have something to listen to while commuting, doing the dishes or taking a walk.

Some of my favourite podcasts, hosted by registered dietitians, are about making peace with food, intuitive eating and body positivity. Since having children, I have been inspired to improve my relationship with food and my body. With kids, more is often “caught than taught.” So, I am aiming to be a good role model for my family by encouraging eating competence – being self-aware, self-accepting, joyful about eating and taking good care of myself with food – rather than passing on messages around weight or the diet mentality. Here are a few podcasts that inspire me; I hope you like them too!
