Cafe Latte Steamer

  • 1 cup (250 ml) strong brewed coffee
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) granulated sugar (or to taste)
  • 2 cups (500 ml) 2% milk
  • Ground cinnamon for garnish

For the Adventurous:

  • Chai Latte Steamer: Replace coffee in Cafe Latte with strong-brewed Chai tea.
  • Mocha Latte Steamer: add 1/2 cup (125 ml) strong-brewed coffee to Extra-Chocolate Latte


  1. In a saucepan or large glass measuring cup, combine coffee and sugar.
  2. Gradually whisk in Milk until blended. Heat in saucepan over medium heat until steaming, about 3–5 minutes. Or heat in microwave on Medium (50%) power until steaming, 2 to 3 min.
  3. Whip hot coffee and milk mixture until frothy. Pour into warmed latte bowls or mugs and garnish.

Cooking Tip:

Heat the Milk just until steaming. If it boils, it may split and will not get frothy when whipped or blended.
