Greek, Greek Yogurt: A Savoury Yogurt

Recipe details

Servings: 1
Time: Under 15 minutes

Most of what you find online about savoury yogurt is about finding an alternative to sweet fruit flavoured yogurt or to cut down on sugar, which is also on trend. But, I like sweet yogurt too, particularly vanilla with fresh fruit or frozen berries and some granola on top. You don’t have to choose one over the other, yogurt is healthful—it’s nutrient-rich and full of beneficial bacteria—plus it’s easy to prepare for meals or snacks, whether you like it sweet or savoury.

  • 3/4 cup (175 ml) 2% plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) olive oil
  • 3 tbsp (45 ml) tomatoes, diced
  • 3 tbsp (45 ml) cucumber, diced
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) red onion, finely diced
  • 4-6 kalamata olives
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) Greek spice

  1. In a bowl, drizzle Greek yogurt with olive oil.
  2. Top with diced tomatoes, cucumber, onion, and olives.
  3. Sprinkle with Greek spice and salt and pepper, to taste.
  4. Enjoy!
